Hi, I’m Sophie Bennett, founder of The Pet Department.

Animals have always been a big part of my life. From the dogs and cats that make a house feel like home to the horses I could happily spend hours with — I’ve always believed that animals are so much more than just pets. They’re family.

The idea for The Pet Department started with something very simple. I often found myself searching in different places for good-quality, practical and beautiful products for my own animals. One store for the dog, another for the cat, and somewhere completely different for the horses.

And one day I thought: why isn’t there one lovely place for all animals?

A store where it’s not just about what’s practical, but also about comfort, quality and those little things that make our pets’ lives that bit happier.

And that’s how The Pet Department was born. 🐾

I choose our collection with one simple thought in mind: Would I choose this for my own animals?

From a cosy place to sleep and toys they’ll never get tired of, to useful everyday essentials — I want The Pet Department to be a place where you can find something special for every animal that’s part of your family.

The Pet Department may have started with my own love for animals, but my hope is that it becomes a special place for fellow pet lovers too.

Because at the end of the day, they all deserve the very best. 💙
